JUAN GOMEZ , MOUNTAIN HOME DIRECTOR OF SOCCER
Juan Gomez is the Director of the Soccer Program in Mountain Home, Idaho. He grew up playing soccer in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he developed a strong foundation and passion for the game before continuing his career at the professional level in Mexico. Juan played professionally for Monarcas Zacapu, a third-division club and affiliate of Monarcas Morelia of Mexico’s First Division, gaining valuable experience in a highly competitive soccer environment.
Juan has been coaching for six years, with the majority of his coaching career spent in Mountain Home, Idaho, where he currently coaches with Albion SC Idaho. He is committed to long-term player development and creating positive, challenging environments for athletes at all levels.
He holds a U.S. Soccer D License and is currently pursuing his U.S. Soccer C License. In addition, Juan is a Certified Level 2 Goalkeeper Coach through United Soccer Coaches, allowing him to provide specialized goalkeeper training alongside overall player development.
Under Juan’s leadership, Albion SC Mountain Home offers a recreational Juniors program, a competitive program, and dedicated goalkeeper training, ensuring opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to grow and succeed in the game.
Juan’s vision is to continue strengthening Albion SC Mountain Home as a program that prioritizes long-term player development over short-term results, fosters strong character, and creates meaningful opportunities for players at every level. His commitment to the Mountain Home community extends well beyond the soccer field. Juan has worked closely with Mountain Home Parks and Recreation to help develop and support the local recreational soccer league, creating a strong partnership that benefits young athletes and families throughout the community.
As part of this collaboration, Albion SC Mountain Home’s Juniors program actively participates in the Mountain Home Parks and Recreation league, providing players with a fun, inclusive, and development-focused introduction to the game. This partnership helps bridge the gap between recreational and competitive soccer, ensuring players can grow at their own pace while remaining connected to their local community.
In addition to his role in soccer, Juan proudly serves as a law enforcement officer, reinforcing his dedication to leadership, accountability, and service. His family is deeply rooted in Mountain Home, with his wife owning and operating a local small business, further strengthening their shared commitment to the growth and well-being of the community. Juan is passionate about giving back, building strong relationships, and creating opportunities for youth to succeed, and he remains fully dedicated to the continued development of soccer and community involvement in Mountain Home.
Juan’s mission is to build a soccer culture in Mountain Home that reflects Albion SC’s core values of player development, integrity, and community. He is deeply passionate about providing a positive and challenging environment where players are encouraged to grow technically, tactically, mentally, and socially, while developing a lifelong love for the game.
